Photograps of Saltburn-by-the-sea by Tim Hill

Almost there!

For a website that looks minimal and simple, that was a ton of work! Of course a labour of love, I love to create and see things coming together. I will not let obstacles beat me when in comes to photography or websites, the challenges are half the fun.

So, what have I been doing photography wise over the last few weeks? In 2 words ‘very little’, which is frustrating. A friend and I planned to photograph at and around the famous waterfall walk at Ingleton, North Yorkshire. The waterfall walk is around 4.5 miles of, yes you guessed, waterfalls and some of the most picturesque scenery in the Yorkshire Dales.

Ingleton Waterfall walk

Alas, the weather was too bad, bordering on dangerous, both for travelling and walking. Sleet, snow and sub zero temperatures. We are not easily deterred by bad weather but at the end of the day sensible folk, sometimes you have to be realistic about these things. Hopefully we will get there in January when (fingers crossed) the weather is better. I’m looking forward to that one! I can feel a long exposure at Thornton Force waterfall coming on even as I type this blog post ๐Ÿ™‚

So, back to the point of this post, where am I with the site?

The easy way of explaining is to put things into sliders –

Design 90%
Features 70%
Work still to do 30%

I smile to myself because this is the second blog post that is already out of date before it’s even been read by anyone but me. The blog posts will not go live until the site does. All the same I am testing things out and it will be nice to have a bit of content from day one.

Right; Now for the hardest bit – The Store .. ๐Ÿ˜

I don’t want to sounds like a dick (so to speak), but people are always asking why I don’t sell my images as prints etc. Well lets go for it and see what happens. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Being able to cover the monthly costs of this website would be great!

Right, back to it .. Thank you for reading ๐Ÿ˜‰
